Mrs Cragg’s Pebble
Margaret Hollings, Fundraising and Events Manager:
“I was delighted to receive a special cheque for £330.00 from Victoria CP School this week, which was raised by the staff and pupils of the school in memory of Sandra Cragg.
Sandra was a much loved teacher who worked in the school for 13 years but sadly passed away at Nightingale House Hospice in February 2014.
Ever since, Sandra’s family, friends, colleagues and pupils have been working hard to remember Sandra in a positive way in order to make a difference to future patients of the hospice.
In 2014, a Forget Me Not Tribute Fund was set up in memory of Sandra so that all donations could be collected in her name and already the hospice has received over £10,000 through Sandra’s fund.
It was a pleasure to be able to visit Victoria CP School and present the staff with an engraved Tribute Fund pebble, which has been placed in a memorial garden at the school to be shared with staff, pupils and parents alike.
A special pebble has also been placed at Nightingale House Hospice in a pebble pool feature which can be visited by all who loved Sandra”.
If you would like to find out more about how you can set up a fund in memory of somebody you have loved and lost, please contact Margaret Hollings on 01978 314292 or email [email protected]
