Tudor Workshop at Bradley Road Church

Last week, Year 4 visited Bradley Road Church to learn more about the Tudors. We write with quill pens, looked at Bibles that were up to 200 years old, dressed up as Tudor children and learned that William Tyndale translated the Bible into English for us all. We had to hide our Bibles from the Tudor guards so we didn’t get our heads chopped off!

Mimosa Production

Year 4 had the opportunity to visit Theatre Clywd in Mold to watch a show entitled ‘Mimosa’. It was a fantastic day. We learned all about the group of brave travellers who sailed to Patagonia in 1865 to set up a new Welsh speaking community. We were saddened by their hard ships and amazed by how tough they were!

After the show, we took part in a drama workshop. We had to work together to create a ‘freeze’ and then gradually we added things to this in order to start acting! We laughed so much because we were all enjoying ourselves!

Year 4 Tennis

Y4SB have been receiving expert Tennis coaching in association with the Wrexham Tennis Centre, Tennis Wales and the Tennis Foundation. This culminated in us attending the Clywedog Tennis Festival on Monday 22nd June.

We all had a terrific time and received a certificate for our hard work.
