Wrexham Choir Festival

A big thank you to all the children who sang so beautifully at the Street Festival on Saturday. So many people complimented you on your wonderful voices. It was a lovely day. A big thank you to parents for helping and supporting the event. A big shout out to Grainger Games who transferred our backing tracks from cd to memory stick at the last minute!

A reminder about pupil behaviour, trips and clubs

Dear Parent,

Could I please remind you of a few procedures relating to behaviour, trip and clubs:

Firstly, we would welcome any help with supervision on educational trips. If you would like to help, please speak to your child’s class teacher. You will also require a ‘Volunteer DBS’.

Secondly, if any child receives 2 red cards for:

  • causing physical harm to another child
  • damaging property
  • showing serious disrespect towards ANY member of staff in school

they will not be allowed to go on any residential trip that year or on any other non-educational visits, for example, the Christmas pantomime.

As parents, I’m sure you can appreciate that if a child is a danger to themselves or others, it is a huge responsibility and risk to allow them to attend a residential trip. As Headteacher, my main concern is that children enjoy the experience of a residential trip and that staff feel confident and happy accompanying them.

I would also like to remind parents that if a child is issued with 2 yellow cards in one week they will not be allowed to attend their clubs for that week only.

If you would like a copy of our School Visits or Behaviour Policy, please contact the office.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs D Eccles

MacMillan Coffee Morning

We are holding our MacMillan Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September 8am – 10am. We have decided to extend the morning to let you guys have the option of a ‘quiet’ sit down and chat! If anyone would like to donate any cakes or biscuits we would be very grateful.

Many thanks.

Forest School

Some of our Year 4 pupils had their first forest school session today with Mrs Birchall and Mr Potts. The pupils harvested apples from our trees and went mini-beast hunting. Lots of learning and fun. Well done to the children who behaved impeccably!
