A huge thank you to all the parents and friends who sponsored our children for the Race for Life. We have raised a grand total of £3300. Amazing. What a difference that will make.

Our Euro poster winners went to WHSmith today to choose £50 of resources for school. Thank you to Darren Tew, Manager for organising the competition!

Best boys and girls from each year:

We had a great time at Dangerpoint today. We learnt so much about keeping safe at home, by the water and by railways. We had presentations about internet safety, electricity and even what to do in a flood! My little group were fantastic. They asked brilliant questions!

Sorry folks, we have had to cancel as the ground is too wet. We will now aim for Thursday morning.

Many thanks to all the parents who attended our Parents’ Day on June 10th. Your involvement and suggestions are always greatly valued.

Our next Parents’ Day will be on Thursday 10th November 2016.

The year 4 children had an amazing time at Nant BH. They participated in a range of challenging and demanding activities with great determination, resilience and enthusiasm – well done, da iawn!

 

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the children, parents, friends, community members and staff who helped with the summer fair yesterday. It was, yet again, a hugely successful event and brought our community together yet again and that’s the important thing! Some of us had a good soaking when that rain shower came down but we carried on regardless.

I know we’ve been raising lots of money this year for different charities and this term we have asked a lot in terms of donations – Mr Evans’ sky dive, Race for life and non-uniform days, not to mention our summer trips but you have been brilliant and your generosity astounds me. Thank you.

Partnerships are important to us, so please if you are tempted to be actively involved in the life of our school let us know. We have our Families Connect Group who meet on a Tuesday – please see Sue Jones (After School Club) or Mrs Vanda Wright (Infant Department). We have a PTA (Friends of Victoria) – see Ms Sheriff (Junior Department) and Mrs Prytherch (Infant Department).  These are informal groups who will give you a warm welcome.

Also, we are always on the look out for parents who can share their skills with the staff and children – so let us know if you would like to show off your skills to a willing and enthusiastic audience!
