SCHOOL CATEGORISATION

We are pleased to have been placed in the ‘yellow’ category of schools in Wales. The system is a snapshot of our school based on pupil outcomes from 2014, prospects for improvement, self evaluation and the level of support needed. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the dedicated and hardworking staff, pupils, parents and governors for all their hard work and support. However, as you all know – we will always ‘Try to improve on our previous best!’

JUNIOR CHEFS’ ACADEMY

We have had a brilliant day with Junior Chefs’ Academy. Our year 3 and 4 pupils experienced a dynamic, informative session with ‘chef’, who instructed and encouraged them to make a fabulous ‘power food salad’. The children learnt about healthy eating, fair-trade, food miles, the origins of food, the benefits of seasonal fruits and vegetables and some great advice about nutritional meals. A massive thank you to chef, all the sponsors who made the day possible and our parents and grandparents for supporting this event.

Important Information

Dear Parents,

It has come to our attention that there is a female loitering around the car park opposite school and next door to Victoria Wine Lodge. She is asking to use people’s phones and is then apparently running off with the phone. She has also been heard asking to borrow money off people. Try to avoid this area if you can. The police have been informed and were dealing with an incident involving her today.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Eccles
